Located in Austin Texas, Bread Boat brings bold Georgian flavors with a modern twist.
Our signature dish — khachapuri, the iconic cheese-filled bread boat is just the beginning. From hearty meat pies to wholesome vegan platter and golden layered cake, our menu brings Georgian comfort to every bite.
The Cheeseboat, or Khachapuri, is much more than a dish—it’s a symbol of Georgian hospitality and tradition. Rooted in the heart of Georgia's culinary heritage, this iconic creation has been cherished for generations as a centerpiece of family gatherings, celebrations, and moments of joy.
Legend has it that the Cheeseboat was inspired by the Black Sea fishermen who shaped their bread to resemble their boats. The golden crust represents the sun-kissed shores of Georgia, while the rich, gooey cheese filling symbolizes the bounty of the sea and the land. With a soft egg nestled in the center and a hint of butter, it’s designed to be shared, enjoyed, and savored—just as life should be.
Wine & Khachapuri: A Match Made in Georgia
We pair that comfort with a curated list of natural Georgian wines made from ancient grape varieties and clay-aged techniques that date back over 8,000 years. Each bottle is a little piece of history and a perfect match for our food.
